lol
Ever since I began blogging on LiveJournal since 2001, first posts on other blogs has been, to say the least, very awkward. This blog is no different, but I'll try to swallow my anxiety and get this going.
WHO ARE YOU?!
I am currently a university student in California studying genetics. What I plan to do with such a degree is still up in the air, but I've always felt that things will either fall into place or, uh, not fall at all.
NO. I MEANT ON WoW.
Oh!
Asyii is the name of my hunter on Shadowmoon. You can see how badly I've progressed at:http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Shadowmoon&n=Asyii
She is actually not my main character--or, to more accurately describe the situation, she was not my first character. My main is actually an Enhancement shaman that now finds itself as Elemental due to PvP reasons.
BM? WRY WRY WRYYY? DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW2PLAY A HUNTER?
To get the dirty stuff out first: I don't use macros because I'm too lazy and having to transfer macros between computers is too much of a hassle. Plus I find pressing three buttons instead of one just a tad more engaging. I don't hit the gym much, so manually firing my shot rotations is about the only way calories get burned.
I have played mainly as BM but am also familiar with Survival and Marksmanship...on test realms where I have access to optimized gear. The reason why I have stuck to BM is largely because it is the least gear-dependent build that still has decent utility and very good damage. Plus, I just don't like paying more than 30g for respeccing.
My guild has not progressed as far as I would have liked, but PvP has always been my focus and one of the main reasons why I am still BM: I am simply not comfortable switching to another spec until after I've obtained 350+ resilience. But that's just me.
Personally, I've found Survival to be the most fun to play in PvE (because I feel so altruistic helping my party and all), but not by much. With a 41/20 build, I wholeheartedly miss the utility of Scattershot and Intimidation just doesn't quite fulfill that hole in my heart.
That said, I know enough about hunters to make fairly good decisions on how to gear up, what skills do without reading the tooltips in-combat, and when to feign death.
OIC.
nao uc?
WHY ARE YOU BLOGGING NOW?
Because I get a kick out of knowing I should be doing something else.
